제목	Prediction of cognitive and motor development in preterm children using exhaustive feature selection and cross-validation of near-term white matter microstructure

내용	배경: 최신 neuroimaging 과 컴퓨터를 이용한 분석 방법은 보다 정확한 예후를 규명할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 DTI (diffusion tensor imaging) 영상에서 cross-validation과 exhaustive feature selection을 사용하여 평가된 뇌 백질의 미세 구조가 조산 아동의 신경 발달을 예측할 수 있을 것이라는 가설을 규명하고자 하였다. 방법 극소저체중 신생아 66 명을 대상으로 IUP 36.6 ± 1.8 주에 얻은 MRI와 DTI를 평가했다. 대상자 중 60명은 18-22 개월에 BSID-III (Bayley Scales of Infant-Toddler Development) 로 신경발달 평가를 받았다. DTI를 기반으로 계산된 cross-validation과 exhaustive feature selection의 선형 모델은 인지 기능과 운동 기능을 가장 잘 예측하는 세 가지 뇌 영역을 확인하였다. 로지스틱 회귀 모델을 계산하여 평균보다 1 표준 편차가 낮은 고위험 영아를 분류 하였다. 결과 (# MD: mean diffusivity, RD: radial diffusivity, FA: fractional anisotropy, AD: axial diffusivity) 인지 기능은 우측 middle-temporal gyrus MD, 우측 cingulate-cingulum MD, 좌측 caudate MD 에서 100% 민감도와 100% 특이도를 보였다. 운동 기능은 좌측 precuneus FA, 우측 superior occipital gyrus MD, 우측 hippocampus FA 에서 90% 민감도, 86% 특이도( AUC = 0.912)를 보였다. 인지기능지수(cognitive score variance)는 좌측 posterior-limb-of-internal-capsule MD, Genu RD, 우측 fusiform gyrus AD 에서 29.6%, cross-validated Rˆ2 = 0.296 를 보였다. 운동기능지수(motor score variance)는 좌측 posterior-limb-of-internal-capsule MD, 우측 para-hippocampal gyrus AD, 우측 middle-temporal gyrus AD 에서 31.7%, cross-validated Rˆ2 = 0.317 을 보였다.
